About Us – Authentic West Coast Indigenous Carvings

Preserving Tradition. Empowering Community. Sharing the Spirit of the Nisga’a Nation.

Welcome to WestCoastCarvings.com — your trusted source for authentic Indigenous carvings and First Nations artwork from the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia. Every piece we offer is handcrafted by Elder carver Bobby J. Wong, a proud artist of the Nisga’a Nation, whose extraordinary skill and dedication keep the sacred art of First Nations cedar carving alive.

Each carving Bobby creates carries the stories, symbols, and spiritual energy of his ancestors — reflecting the deep connection between people, nature, and the spirit world. His work features lifelike animals, supernatural beings, and traditional Nisga’a design elements that honor cultural identity, heritage, and storytelling.

We are a small, independent Indigenous art studio — a team of two people from different backgrounds, united by a shared purpose:
to celebrate authentic West Coast Indigenous craftsmanship while giving back to the community we love.

Our Mission: Art With Purpose

At West Coast Carvings, every sale has meaning. A portion of proceeds helps us support:

  • Elders and seniors through discounted home projects and cultural engagement,

  • People facing homelessness or poverty,

  • Individuals living with disabilities or mental health challenges, and

  • Those recovering from substance abuse, offering opportunities for dignity and hope.

By choosing one of our carvings, you’re not just purchasing art — you’re investing in people and culture. Every mask, pole, or sculpture helps preserve Nisga’a carving traditions, supports local Indigenous artists, and strengthens our West Coast community.

Together, we can keep this ancient art form alive and ensure it continues to inspire future generations.
